I thought I would share what Jesus is doing in my life. Just particularly feel the need to share this. Most of it is from another blog that blessed me. The writeup from that blog is truly beautiful in the fact that it is full of scripture. Nothing can substitute the Word of God! Are you struggling with sickness, poverty, lack, spiritual dryness, discontented, etc? Well we all do so here’s me trying to lift you up in Christ, just as I was uplifted.
The verse I have been focusing on this week is:
2 Cor 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Also note: We are free from all curses for Jesus became a curse for us. Yay! For most of you who have never experienced the supernatural in the natural and more of practical maybe the incident that happened to me won’t make sense. But God be my witness I am telling the truth. It did happen.
The Incident: A certain woman has been trying to destroy my family with discord, violence and sickness through witchcraft and not natural means. When a certain family member happens to visit our house we apparently fall sick. So was natural that we thought he was praying curses over us (he also indulges into the occult and witchcraft time and again). But at a prayer meeting yesterday the Lord shone His light over the situation and gave a lady a vision of this woman who was cursing me. The best part of it, however, is that she was all shaken and trembling and saying the name of Jesus is too much for me to bear. She bowed down at the name of Jesus. Wow! Praise the name of Jesus. There’s power!
Now here’s what I found randomly browsing the internet. Truly blessed me. God bless the person who shared this. (link:

Redeemed from the Curse of poverty, sickness and death!
Published 01 April 08 03:35 PM
Poverty is a curse
Sickness is a curse.
Why do so many Christians submit to a curse when they are already set free? If you were in prison and someone unlocked the doors and held them open, would you continue to sit in the prison? yet so many do…
WHAT CHRIST HAS REDEEMED US FROM
REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW
Gal.3:13,14,29 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law.
Question: What does REDEEMED mean?
Answer: To buy back, recover by expenditure.
Question: Why did Christ have to REDEEM us?
Answer: Because the whole human race is in bondage to sin. They cannot keep “the Law” and find favour with God.
Question: With what did Christ REDEEM us?
Answer: Eph.1:7 “With His blood”.
He paid the “SUPREME PRICE” to buy you back. His life and shed His blood.
Question: What is the curse of the Law?
Answer: Go back to Law (1st 5 books) and see.
A three-fold curse: Poverty, sickness and spiritual death.
1. P O V E R T Y
Deut.28:15-17, 38-40. (26:1-2,5,8,11,12) (30:19-20) The curse of poverty was to come upon them for disobeying God’s Law.
Rom.3:23 says we’ve all sinned. Jesus became our “substitute” – He bore the curse – We can be FREE.
11 Cor.8:9 Jesus became poor so we could be rich. He did not become poor spiritually – He raised the dead, water – wine, the 5,000, miracles.
Materially he left heaven’s splendour – Born into a poor family, He owned no property, at death he was naked, buried in a borrowed grave.
Luke 9:58 “Foxes have holes, birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
“Poverty is a curse”, it’s no blessing – Jesus Redeemed us from it.
Phil.4:19 There is a full supply for the children of God..
Mat.6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
The devil has lied to Christians – he said poverty is a sign of HUMILITY and GODLINESS. Poverty is a sign of “Ignorance” of God’s word. Jesus – Added.
Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Jesus told the truth.
THE KEY TO GOD’S PROSPERITY is to “GIVE”. The world HOARDES.
You say “I can’t afford to give” – God says “You can’t afford not to give.”
Mal.3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse …” You have not started to give until you have “paid” your tithes.
QUESTION: Is tithing just for the Old Testament under the Law? No. Abraham paid tithes 430 yrs. before the Law and Heb.7:8 show tithing in the New Testament.
PEOPLE SAY “PROSPERITY WORKS FOR THE JEWS BUT NOT FOR THE GENTILES”
Gal.3:14 “in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles ..” Abraham was very rich (Gen.13:2) in livestock, silver, gold. The land was not big enough for Abraham’s and Lot’s possessions.
God wants us to have an abundant full supply.
Someone said: “Don’t talk about money – it’s the root of all evil.
1 Tim.6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” Some people don’t have a cent and suffer with the disease called “the love of money”.
Ps.5O:12 God says the WORLD is his and all it contains. HE MADE IT FOR US, HIS CHILDREN, NOT THE DEVIL’S CHILDREN.
Illustration: A Father using his pay to feed another women and her children.
Prov.19:17 “He who is gracious to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his good deed”. Don’t be stingy – God said He’ll repay.
2. S I C K N E S S
Deut.28:15-22, 27-29, 35, 58-61.
We see from these scriptures that sickness and disease is a Curse of the Law.
From most “English Translations” it looks as though God is the author of sickness – the Lord will smite Thee.
Dr. Robert Young – “Hints to Bible interpretation”. - Original Hebrew, the verb permissive sense, instead of the causative sense.
It should read – “The Lord will permit you to be ….” Because the English language had no corresponding permissive sense, these verbs were translated in the causative sense.
God is not the “author of sickness” – the people walked out of the “umbrella” of God’s protection – disobedience – God permitted the devil to afflict. Sickness is a part of the curse of the broken Law, but Praise God, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of …”
Sickness and dis-ease are not a blessing from God but it is a thief and a robber. It steals health, happiness, finance, etc.
If the children of Israel had HEALTH and HEALING under the O.T. and we have a better covenant with better promises – then … Heb.8:6.
Luke 13:10-16 Sickness is Satanic oppression – it binds.
Acts 10:38 Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed of the devil.
Jn.10:10 “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy.
Heb.13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever”.
If sickness was the will of God ? HEAVEN WILL BE FILLED WITH IT.
JESUS IS THE WILL OF GOD IN ACTION – Heb.1:1-2. God has spoken to us these last days by HIS SON.
To see GOD’S ATTITUDE on sickness, look at Christ’s Ministry.
Healing was in God’s great plan of redemption.
Is.53:4 & 5 Surely our sickness He Himself bore, And our pains He carried … The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Matt.8:17 “He Himself took our infirmities, and carried …”
1 Pet.2:24 “He Himself bore our sins … for by His stripes you …”
SATAN IS THE OPPRESSOR, BUT JESUS IS THE DELIVERER.
People who say sickness is the will of God, contradict themselves by “taking medicine” – interfering with His will. They should rather pray for a “double Portion” – to really be in His will.
3. D E A T H
Gen.2:17 “From the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for the day you eat from it …. die”.
Adam plunged the human race into spiritual death and separation from God through sin and disobedience.
MAN: is a Spirit, he has a soul that is attached to his spirit and he lives inside of a physical body. Luke 16:19-24 Rich man in hell.
Physical death is the result of spiritual death and the final death is the casting of the spirit in hell.
Spiritual death also means that God is not your father but as Jesus the Pharisees “they were of their father the DEVIL”. They also had the NATURE of the devil – Liars, Murderers.
Christ came to redeem us from “spiritual death”. The second Adam was not born
in death but was God manifest in the flesh. He tasted death for every man (Heb.2:9) as their substitute, that any man who believes in Him may pass out of death into eternal life (Jn.5:24) – Be Born again – receive a new nature.
Eph.2:8 & 9 “By grace you have been saved thru’ faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.”
Ernest Hemingway~ Theres nothing noble in being superior to your fellow men. True nobility is being superior to your former self.
that’s a good quote Brian… Also similar to this is:
Proverbs 3:34
He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble.
Proverbs 8:13
To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
Proverbs 11:2
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 16:18-19
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.
Matthew 23:12
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Luke 16:15
He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God’s sight.”
Just giving you something to ponder on
God bless!
That was an interesting collection of insanity and superstition. If I were you, I’d seek professional help.
Well I haven’t forced you to believe what I believe. But my question to you is in what way was it superstition? If you had a hope to be relieved from bad things would you reject it? When we are sick and nothing seems to be working, we go at all lengths to rid the disease. Then when you find the cure you hold on to it, don’t you? It worked for me so I am sharing it with every one. Freely I have received and freely I give, asking nothing in return. I am not someone born or brought up in Christian beliefs. God would know I have been an atheist for some part of my life. All I will end this with is: yes, I needed professional help and I got the best professional to help me, Jesus. For through Him all things were created and He knows each one of us inside out. He doesn’t need an X-Ray or a CT scan to figure where our problems are. He just knows and He is willing to help us all if we are willing to reach out to Him. I have tested and seen that truly trusting Him is the best way of this life.
I challenge you to answer this. The following excerpt is from a book written many centuries before Christ was in the picture. It tell us in advance about Jesus and what He did. About Him bearing the cross. How was it predetermined?
Isaiah 53:3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
Try this out in your life considering that there might be possibilities that what I say is true. Try asking for healing or restoration and ask in Jesus name. Let’s see what works out. Not to difficult for you to give it a try right? What you got to lose? God bless
And God bless you! Great reply.
God bless u too debs thanks for the encouragement
But what IS the tree of knowledge of good and evil? Do a search: The First Scandal.
Dear Robert,
Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
1) Nowhere does it confirm that Adam and Eve’s sin was sodomy
2) This is full of error: “Adam and Eve used their equipment inappropriately. The first commandment God gave to Adam and Eve was to be fruitful and multiply. To be fruitful and multiply eat from the first. But eat from the second and no one conceives. Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden second tree and, as a result, produced no children while in the garden of Eden. They failed to accomplish their mission.”
The error here is that’s not what God said… This is what God said: Genesis 2:15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Nowhere does it mention that they must eat from the first tree to be fruitful and multiply. That has nothing to do with the tree. Conceiving and the trees are two different things not related at all.
3) The garden of Eden is no allegory, it is a location and the geographic area of which is given in Genesis 2. We cannot see it this day because God has hidden it.
Please be careful in using God’s words and twisting it. That’s what the serpent did in the garden and what satan did when he approached Jesus in the desert. He tried using God’s own Word to lead Adam astray and he succeeded. He tried the same for Jesus, but Jesus overcame him. My humble request is please pray and ask God for wisdom for He gives to those who ask and also ask for discernment. Please do not add to God’s Word, it is sufficient as it is.
I love what you shared, about what happened with the woman who was cursing . . .and what you found at this blog site!
Praising Him with you today!
