I wanted to start a whole new post on Babylon. Along with it, you may notice some precepts of new age principles, religions as having a background in the Babylonian system that goes against the true Lord, the One and only Creator. As I do this, my apologies to all whose sentiments I hurt. There is no compromise and I haven’t even left alone Christian practices that have been corrupted by Babylon. Those of you who pick up modern Christian practices and then refute Christianity as a form of plagiarised ancient religions like those of Egypt. Especially those who commend Zeitgeist and S Acharya. Pay attention and note that the worship of pictures of mother-and-baby, the claim that Jesus was born on 25th December, and so on are not true Christian practices but found their way into Christian practices way after Christianity was established. So, today you see a much contaminated or corrupted Christianity.  A pope and a certain king wanted to unify paganism and Christianity so they amalgamated the religions. That definitely doesn’t make Yahweh and pagan gods as one. I need to be outright bold with what we are dealing with, so people may identify and have a choice between the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness (just as I had).

For the most spiritual gurus or teachers who claim to have deep knowledge understanding, salvation, and know the way out other than through Jesus — I only know one thing – that they themselves are deceived and their deception leads others astray. About such there’s a bit of a mention in:

2 Timothy 3:1 BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].

2For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.

3[They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.

4[They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.

5For [although] they hold a form of piety (godliness/religious), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].

6For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate silly and weak-natured and spiritually dwarfed women, loaded down with [the burden of their] sins [and easily] swayed and led away by various evil desires and seductive impulses.

7[These weak women will listen to anybody who will teach them]; they are forever inquiring and getting information, but are never able to arrive at a recognition and knowledge of the Truth.

8Now just as [a]Jannes and Jambres were hostile to and resisted Moses, so these men also are hostile to and oppose the Truth. They have depraved and distorted minds, and are reprobate and counterfeit and to be rejected as far as the faith is concerned.(A)

9But they will not get very far, for their rash folly will become obvious to everybody, as was that of those [Egyptian magicians who opposed Moses].

10Now you have closely observed and diligently followed my teaching, conduct, purpose in life, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,

11Persecutions, sufferings–such as occurred to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra, persecutions I endured, but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12Indeed all who are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution [will be made to suffer because of this].

13But wicked men and imposters will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and leading astray others and being deceived and led astray themselves.

16Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),

From this I also deduce the following:

1) A Bible version which is written in popular lingo gives verses 1-5 as:

As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people.

2) These are the last days of great stress and troubles. The end of this world as we know it, is nearer than we can imagine.

3) In these last days people will be more focused on the “self” or themselves more than anyone or anything else. This is evident in the vanity we have all around. You cannot deny that a culture to consume so as to make oneself happy has overtaken the world. Now more than ever there are people seeking themselves or “self” seekers, i.e., those seeking solutions and wisdom from within themselves rather than looking to God or the Word of God (most new age philosophy is based on this theory of self or self-consciousness).

4) People love money, in other words money becomes their God. They would do anything for money, and they strongly believe they can only survive in this world if they have money. Rather than asking God, or turning to the Word of God or placing God as the provider they look to themselves to provide.  Please don’t fall for this philosophy, it has made many lose their humanity, their true self. Pride and arrogance, to promote themselves although they may be hypocrites and donate much in charity, it is only to finally promote their self-image and not because they are truly compassionate to the cause.

5) Contemptuous boasters, the marketing philosophy or the promotion of self.

6) Sensual pleasures and satisfying ones-self sexually have become the all important theme of this world.  Need I point out this one? The media today which is a reflection of society as a whole follows only one mantra — Sex sells (ask me I worked with the media long enough to figure its main agenda).

7) Haven’t you come across gurus, teachers, philosophers and other such who are godly, but have nothing to do with the God of the Bible? They hold a form of piety (godliness/religious), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it.

Before we get to the Tower of Babylon, I want to point out some historical information about Nimrod. Once we understand about the mythology behind the false religion of Babylon, will we be able to understand that it’s all about deception, getting people turned away from the one and only true God who created us all. If you believe Christianity and the Bible is a myth. Read on I will open your eyes about religions, cultures and all the fundamentals the world is based on.

What or who inspired Nimrod?

To me it is very clear that Nimrod was inspired by Satan and the powers of darkness. Many say that there was a trinity and a virgin birth long before Jesus. The birth of Jesus, His life, the need for a Saviour all being merely a repetition of mythology. How come ancient religions already had a similar tale to tell? Well I have an answer for all those who push Jesus aside as a myth and Christianity as a byproduct of Paganism. Basically its as easy as 1,2, and 3. There was already a plan laid out. It was revealed in full view of the opposing kingdom. The opposing kingdom wanted to counterfeit it to lead many astray and try to defeat the Kingdom of God. Basically, the number of people deceived, also deceive others and just lead people away from the truth. This hurts our Creator, who we actually belong to. You think it is nothing but hogwash? Well then dare to read on.

Before the first alleged miraculous conception even took place in different religions, the plan for Jesus to be conceived miraculously ( i.e., no man and woman connection, but by God or Spirit) was out there in the open. The clues of this can be found in Genesis, where the Lord says the seed of Eve not the seed of Adam and Eve would be bruised by the serpent and He in turn would crush the serpent’s head. Herein lies a mention of the plan of the birth and death of Jesus.

Genesis 3:13 The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
14 So the LORD God said to the serpent:
“ Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed (He will be born from a woman);
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.

The serpent took cues of these little clues of Jesus and God’s plan and tried to get a counterfeit together. Why a counterfeit? To lead people astray. We all are waiting for a saviour, or for salvation from death and the bad things in this world. No matter where you are from and what you do, you want to be saved from the ways of this world or even life. So the serpent, aka, satan devised various ways to give answers to human beings on salvation, peace, suffering, sickness, answers to questions like from where did all humans come from, how to overcome life’s daily issues and more. Basically if Jesus is not the centre of a belief or act, and if a method or person asks you to pray to another name, other gods, chant words, anything that is not Christ driven is of the serpent and not of Yahweh (the One and only true God).

So with little clues from what God was going to do, the serpent influenced Nimrod who is also known as Baal-Nimrod and Nimrod’s wife Semiramis. Hence, the birth of a system controlling religion, government and economy under the banner of Babylon took place. This is just the beginning of Babylon. As per this religion, the monarchs or the king and queen were gods. So this was the birth of the worship of Nimrod or Baal or King Tukulti-Ninurta and Semiramis or Ishtar or Astarte or the Queen of Heaven. They had a son Tammuz or Adonis who was also worshiped.

The Babylonian theology

Since there is falsehood to the Babylonian theology there are many stories of it floating around, but in all the fiction lies some fact.

George Foryan, a historian, found that an essay titled “The Legend of Semiramis,” was the only significant documentation on Semiramis. It was written by Greek historian Diodorus Siculus, who lived during the time of Julius Caesar. Some challenge the authenticity of this text and have deemed it fantasy. But even myths and legends are stretched out from certain truths.
Semiramis was very beautiful, shrewd and was politically powerful. As the story goes, both Nimrod and Semiramis established themselves as the gods Marduk and Astarte. The construction of the towers or ziggurats throughout Mesopotamia was connected to this religious system (read as tower of Babylon which was a symbol of rebellion against the Creator God). The Tower of Babel was basically an act to lift up the throne of man or this Babylonian religion higher than God. They mocked God and God brought them back to ground level for this rebellion.
This religion is based on the worship of the woman or female goddess. Does this ring a bell? A lot of worldly religions are based on a mother goddess or the worship of a female. At the Tower of Babel satan created a universal false religion based on the worship of the mother of god as a substitute of worship for the Creator God or Jehovah.
There are several versions of how Semiramis got to be the declared as the mother of god. A Jewish historian Josephus claims that Shem, the brother of Nimrod’s grandfather Ham, rose against Nimrod and cut him into pieces as a warning against idolatry to all people of the land that remained in Shinar. After his death Semiramis claimed to have borne a son through miraculous conception, since Nimrod was dead. She proclaimed it was Marduk reborn as Tammuz.

Another version, a one that makes sense as evidence of it exists in the rituals practiced in popular culture at present. According to this,  Semiramis claimed to be born immaculately herself. Tammuz was the only begotten son of the moon-goddess (Semiramis) and the sun-god (Baal).
Going back to the genealogy of Nimrod – Ham, the son of Noah gave birth to Cush. Cush married Semiramis who in turn gave birth to Nimrod. After his father’s death, Nimrod married his own mother and became a powerful king. He was in turn killed by an enemy (some believe to be Shem). His body was cut into pieces. These pieces were collected by Semiramis, except one part that was his reproductive organ. She claimed that Nimrod couldn’t be brought back to life and had ascended to the sun to be known as Baal or the sun-god.

Semiramis proclaimed that Baal would be present on earth in the form of flames, i.e., when a candle or lamp was lit in worship (no wonder many religions worship with the use of burning lamps, candles and fire).

She claimed that she was conceived by an immaculate conception and that the moon had conceived her in a giant moon egg, which fell into the River Euphrates. She also claimed that the moon goddess had a 28-day cycle of ovulation and completed this cycle when it was the full moon.

Semiramis came to be known as Ishtar and her eggs as Ishtar eggs or Easter eggs (is your hair standing on end?)
Ishtar became pregnant and she claimed it was through Baal, the sun-god that she conceived and bore Tammuz.

The evidence of all this Babylonian theology is evident in certain popular practices we follow even today. We practice all these rituals blindly. But these rituals basically point back as evidence to this ancient religion being prevalent today. Babylon, the kingdom is no more, but Babylon is present yet today in the form of religion and certain systems. I am not a party pooper, I love cakes, chocolate eggs, Easter eggs, sweets, etc. I love celebrations like most people do. But God forbid I displease the Lord most High in anything I do, for I want to do all that brings glory to Him. I rather sacrifice all merry-making for the One who gave His life for me. Read further if you are able to handle the truth or else I say turn away and I pray that God speaks the truth to your heart.

Easter – an ode to Tammuz

Tammuz was fond of rabbits. He was a hunter much like his father Nimrod. On one of his hunting trips, Tammuz was killed by a wild pig. Ishtar here again wanted people to worship Tammuz even after his death. She claimed that Tammuz had ascended to be with his father Nimrod or Baal. She said both could be worshiped in the flames as father, son and spirit.
Ishtar was worshiped as Queen of Heaven or the mother of God, she commanded her followers to mourn the death of Tammuz every year for forty days prior to his death anniversary. Anyone who follows lent should realise the parallel. Why fast for forty days? Yes Jesus was in the desert forty days, but right after that he did not die, He lived and brought forth His ministry. There’s more that even shocked me and I realised my ignorance in following certain rituals.

The queen Semiramis told her followers that when Tammuz was killed by the wild pig some of his blood fell on a stump of an evergreen tree (the kind that people use as Christmas trees). So this stump grew into a full-grown evergreen tree, which became sacred by the blood of Tammuz. Evergreen trees or Christmas trees are not truly Christian. Do we have mention of them in the Bible and is there any relationship between these trees and the birth of Christ?

Some more on the forty day fast: Ishtar declared that no meat was to be eaten in this time and worshipers were to mediate on Baal and Tammuz. They were to bakes cakes in their memory and even mark them with ‘T’ or a cross on top (hot cross buns anyone?).

Every year, the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox, a celebration was made. (When is Easter celebrated?) It was tagged Ishtar’s Sunday and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs (wondered where the rabbits came to be associated with Easter? They are cute but what is their significance?).

Ishtar also proclaimed that a pig must be eaten on that Sunday. Anyone up for a roast pig special on Easter Sunday?

Do you know what God said when the Jews celebrated Easter. Yes they did. Where? In the Old Testament way before Jesus. Even the Bible makes mentions of Jews following Babylonian practices. And mind you, pay attention to how God reacts to it. Does He condone it or condemn it? Here goes:

Ezekiel 8:10 So I went in and saw, and there—every sort of creeping thing, abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed all around on the walls. 11 And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and in their midst stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan. Each man had a censer in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up. 12 Then He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, ‘The LORD does not see us, the LORD has forsaken the land.’”
13 And He said to me, “Turn again, and you will see greater abominations that they are doing.” 14 So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the LORD’s house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.
15 Then He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Turn again, you will see greater abominations than these.” 16 So He brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house; and there, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east.

Jeremiah 7:18 The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger. 19 Do they provoke Me to anger?” says the LORD. “Do they not provoke themselves, to the shame of their own faces?”

Phew… This leads into the next part of my pursuit… how paganism, the serpents brood, and Babylon crept into the practices of Jews as well as Christians. I am as guilty as anyone on this earth for I once worshiped those gods which don’t deserve my worship. I practiced quiet a few rituals and systems of the false religion. Well all that and more in the next one. For now I leave you with a challenge – Check your life for mundane practices, which you follow and have no idea about their source or origin. Pray that the God of all truth reveals to you facts about the lies circulating this world and that He leads you to the right path…

Laters and God bless!
